I shot Megha & Mintu's Sikh wedding over the last two days. I can't wait to share some of the wonderful images I was able to capture for them but for right now I had to throw this collage together to show one of the big differences between American and Indian weddings: The formals.
Indian Wedding = at least 150 formals

170 formal groups
Meg and Mintu were wonderful people and their family and friends were NO exception. I met and got to know people from all over the world in the last couple days. I wish everyone safe travels back home and I can't wait to share more images from the ceremony and reception!
Harry and Rachel's wedding was last Saturday and I had a great time! They were wonderful people, honestly in love and everything of their day reflected it. This wedding combined so many of my favorite types of weddings! Christian ceremony, on base which always means beautiful chapel, traditional Chinese elements and Indian elements. Not only were they great people and a beautiful wedding I got to work with one of my favorite videographers, Neil "Bollywood" Benjers. I picked way too many images for this post but these images barely scratch the surface on my favorites from their day.

The last image was of a video message that Harry surprised Rachel with from her home church back in Singapore.
Napoleon Martinez and I covered Stephanie & Alex's wedding two weekends ago. It was a beautiful day and the church was in a gorgeous and historic part of Winchester, Virginia.

Congratulations again you guys!

Sometimes (while shooting a wedding) there will be an awesome dancer who inevitably clears the dance floor as he gets crazy. I always figure out really quick who his friends are and position myself on the floor in front of them... if he's going to really show off, it'll be to them. I'll shoot a few images but making sure to shoot sparingly so that if "it" happens I'll already be focused and my flash will be fully recycled. Last night was one of those "it" moments with the best payoff to date... His flip happened so fast it was almost total luck that it's framed so well... this is straight from the camera...
Full collage for Vivian and Corey's Wedding overlooking the Washington Mall to come in a couple days!
Congratulations to Melissa & Bobby who had an absolutely perfect day! They were blessed with the most beautiful sunset at "Windows on the Bay" in Pasadena, MD. I had a lot of fun and you guys were such a smiley happy couple! Thank you for making my job SO easy!!

Gracie and Yisa were married last Friday evening at Celebrations on the Bay. I haven't been to such an animated and colorful wedding in a long time. There were people there from all over the world including some family from their villages in Nairobi. I was surrounded by beautiful music, languages i didn't understand and gorgeous traditional dresses.
Gracie was full of laughter and smiles all day... my job couldn't have been easier!
Congratulations Gracie and Yisa!!
