The last image is my absolute favorite from both days. I can't wait to have it enlarged, box mounted and hanging in the studio!
Mintu and Megha: Thank you for having me be a part of your celebration! I had a wonderful time and I wish you guys the very best! You guys were SO calm and chill through TONS of family formals, unexpected turns and everything else that goes with a large wedding! Thank you!
London Sandy: You're famous!

After leaving the Gurdwara we went back to Meg's Parent's house where we did some portraits, drank Indian tea and Megha left her parent's house with her belongings. Traditionally this would be where the Bride leaves her family to live with her husband, sometimes moving far away. I don't hear this often called the "Crying Ceremony" anymore but that's essentially what it is... and a few tears were shed. Meg? She just smiled :o)

I've shot my share of Indian weddings. Meg and Mintu was to be my first Sikh wedding. The Gurdwara (Sikh Temple) was beautiful inside as was the ceremony and experience. There was much more singing than the Hindu ceremonies I have become accustomed to. One side of the temple was women, the other men with the Guru, Mintu and Meg in the middle. After the ceremony we all went downstairs to eat lunch.
